At the end of June we upgraded Elizabeth’s room with some actual furniture. Out went the changing table and the glider, and in came a bed, dresser, and a desk.
It was actually shocking to see a desk in her room. Another “flash-forward” to thinking that in a few short years she’ll be in Kindergarten! With homework! She already loves her desk and that is where I’ll find her coloring and playing.
Her bed is a simple headboard (to fit in her room), and for now it is not up against the wall as it will be someday. We wanted to make sure that she wouldn’t roll out of the bed now that she is off the floor. Small steps.
With the arrival of warm weather we have been seeing some spiders in the house and yukky enough, mostly in her room – which was why I needed to get her bed off the floor asap. We were lucky enough to find this large set (another dresser went into the closet) on Craig’s List.
