More from June

More silly moments from this month:

Elizabeth still rides her horse around the house, but this day required a backpack?

She has always loved helping Daddy water the plants inside the house, now she helps him water the lawn.

She even started to help him water the flowers with a water pistol…and, yes, she’s buck naked.  I blurred it out for decency so my blog is PG rated.  Our neighbors crack up when they catch her out back in her birthday suit.  Thankfully they are good people with a daughter of their own.  In the house there’s an alert-system that screams “Nakkked Baaaaby!!!!!” when she is having her naked time.  Yes, the alert system is Elizabeth herself running from room to room to share the news with all of us…and our response call is the same.  I’m starting to wonder how many houses away this alert system can be heard since we don’t have A/C and our windows are open most of the time?!

Waiting outside for her friend to come over and play.  Crackers for her after-school snack, a fresh boo-boo from school, and a cute pouty face as she impatiently waits.  Mom Mom would be so proud that she loves Saltines!

On Father’s Day we got Daddy two gifts…

A new square-bottomed sleeping bag for upcoming camping adventures!

And I got him a special Father’s Day book from Shutterfly from Elizabeth – filled with awesome pics of the two of them over the years.

We went to another Rockies Game this summer thanks to Stephie sharing her tickets…but I spent most of my time with Eliz in a new in-stadium playground area that I found.  The other one is exposed to the sun, while this one was thankfully under cover.

Elizabeth had a face to face encounter with the Rockies mascot – Dinger the Dinosaur.  Unfortunately, he chose that moment to show another little boy that he could spin his head around 360*.  Not a good thing for a two-year old to see!  Large costumed-creatures is scary enough for her.  Boy that took some time to coddle her!  But after that she kept asking to see him again!  Go figure!

Sometimes I think of Shirley Temple after getting Elizabeth all dressed up in one of her cute dresses…with socks and mary janes.

Here she is trying on her Flower Girl dress for Natalie’s wedding!

Our friends David and Beth have birthdays in the same week, so they invited a group of people to meet in Boulder at a restaurant to celebrate.  Fascinating to see these kids together as they get bigger and bigger!

Happy Birthdays you two!

Steph thought it was a good idea to buy some $1 water pistols…

And, boy, was it!  How much fun can you have with these toys?  A lot…until the toddler breaks them all one by one ;)

It was a family affair…that usually included running around the house chasing each other, too.  And our neighbors should be lucky we never found them outside during one of our battles!

So, my only advice to Steph is:  next year, let’s buy some BIGGER ones!  At least for me and you…we’ll get the $1 ones for Eliz and Andy.
