For 10 weeks this summer (5 completed, 5 more in Aug/Sept), we have a booth at the Yoga Rocks the Park in Denver. This is actually a nationwide event with a number of different cities putting on yoga in an outdoor setting with changing teachers and musicians. It’s pretty cool. The crowd numbers have been anywhere from 200-300 we’re guessing here in Denver. There’s also a YRP in Boulder. Some big name (local) teachers lead the classes like Gina Caputo and John Friend to name just two.
Afterward we treat Steph and Eliz for helping us with the booth. Eliz likes this one Thai restaurant and the bicycle taxi they have in the back yard.
We’re hoping to have some decent sales at the events, but even more important is letting more and more people know we exist. Word-of-mouth has been our best advertising tool, so for every one person we reach, it grows pretty quickly from there.
