Happy 3rd Birthday!

The night of Elizabeth’s birthday we celebrated with a small cake, actually a large cupcake, plus some treats for the rest of us.  It was just a family celebration as her party was going to be over the following weekend.

She loves blowing out candles.  When Craig was in town she blew out his birthday candles for him!

Then we sat and opened presents.  She had been sick for a couple of days, we had even visited the doctor that day, so she had asked to go to bed right after dinner…until I mentioned the word “presents”.  Then she somehow found some energy not just to open them, but to play with each one.

Then on Sunday we had most of her little friends join us at a local playground, Majestic View Park.  Unfortunately Allie and Finley were out of town, but all of her other buds made it.

Here she is with Liam and Noalea.  I let her pick out all of her paper products:  she picked a sports ball theme for her plates and napkins and shimmering party hats.  We had little toys and noise makers to share with everyone.

And she wanted this adorable dinosaur cake, because she said her friends would love it!  “Roar!”

Having her party at the park was perfect.  Most of the kids brought their bikes.

We set up an obstacle course on the basketball court for them to ride around.  They played ball, chase, and on the playground.  We brought her T-Ball set and they played with that as well.  Not to mention, they climbed trees and just ran around.

Then it was time for cake and treats…

And the opening presents…

Thanks to Liam (& lil brother Timothy), Noalea (& lil brother KJ), and Bryce for helping us celebrate!

Elizabeth wanted to think that every day was her birthday after that.  So the party hats and some of the decorations and toys stayed out for a couple of weeks ;)
