I truly can’t believe it’s the end of January already…where did January AND December go? Well, we were busy with company and a trip home to Philly. So here’s a little recap of our December…
It first started out that Andy’s Mom and sister were coming for a visit because Carol had a business meeting to attend in Denver. Then our niece Christie called – she had a Med School interview in nearby Parker (that same weekend), could she stay with us? “Sure”, but all we have to offer is the couch. THEN our nephew Matt called –he and his girlfriend were driving cross country and wanted to stop in to see us. “Great! What weekend?” Let’s just say, all I could do was double-over with laughter at the thought of 8 of us squeezed into our two-bedroom condo. But visits like these are “good chaos”. We loved seeing every one and I was thrilled that Elizabeth started to meet her family…
Last month we started to see Elizabeth smile. But Christie got her to full out laugh in response to a game Christie played with her…
Here’s Mom, Andy, and Elizabeth…
One of my favorite pictures (Thanks Christie for snapping this!)
Matt and Jaime before they had to continue their road trip…boy were Andy and I jealous!
We assembled her new jumperoo in December. She was a little unsure of it in the beginning, but she’s getting used to it now…
A playdate with friend Bryce…
Not an uncommon sight in our home for Eliz to sit on our laps while we work…
Our trip to Philly went pretty smoothly. Eliz traveled well both ways, thankfully. Andy had a pocketful of drink coupons to hand out to our fellow travelers just in case! The only problem was that she was sooo curious that she didn’t eat or sleep well for the first three days. Then on Christmas night she passed out for 12 hours she was so tired.
A snowstorm derailed some of our plans to visit people, but otherwise we got to see most of our family and friends. It always amazes me how fast a week goes when we’re back home.
At Christmas loaded up with new and old toys…
With some of her girls over Christmas…
There were lots of people to hold her and hug her while we were back East. That made for a little adjustment when we got back home again – she was spoiled! But it was great to see how open she was to meeting everyone. Hope to see everyone out in Colorado sometime this Spring and Summer!
