Eldorado Springs, CO – Eldorado Canyon State Park

Eldorado Canyon State Park is one of those rare places that offers a visual impact just driving in.  We’ve been here before, but wanted to tackle the Eldorado Canyon Trail on the northside of the park this visit.

Just one of the many varieties of wildflowers now in bloom

A view from an upper portion of the trail

A view of the Continental Divide

We enjoy watching the mountain trains go thru Eldorado Canyon SP.  The tracks are up high, and from the northside trail we could watch them weaving around the bends and in and out of tunnels.  When you go, listen for the train horns or just the rumble of the trains coming.
