Our nephew, Matthew, and niece, Natalie graduated from college in May. There was a big party, so we just HAD to go!
It was a great time, as expected. Backyard games and kegs of micro-brewed beers. Who could ask for more? Oh, did I mention a yard-full of family and friends? Thanks for the invite Nat and Matt!
Andy had considered the pros and cons of flying vs driving to Philly. Our local Tri-Cities Regional Airport didn't have any direct flights, so driving seemed comparable. In hindsight, not so sure. It took 9 1/2 hours to drive from Kingsport - this included several coffee and/or potty-breaks, but eating while driving. We decided that the fun:drive ratio was off. Two days of driving for two days of fun is not a good ratio. But it was a pretty drive through Virginia up I-81.
We also squeezed in a run, a tennis game, and a visit with my family. I have to share with you that our run in PennyPack Park didn't seem so hilly now.
