Yesterday we went on a hunt to find the western half of the Kingsport Greenbelt. Well we found it just about a 1/4 mile past where we turned around when we were on our bikes.
One map had shown it starting up again (remember the Greenbelt is currently broken up into three sections) under the 181 overpass. But it really is further west, just past the Just Ink It Shop. To find the trailhead parking lot keep driving west on Netherland Inn Road and you'll see it on your left. This is not a fun road to ride your bike on - there's fast-moving traffic on this two-lane road and no shoulder for bikers.
Although we weren't planning on biking this rainy Sunday, we just wanted to find the trail for the future. We were pleasantly surprised to find several families of Canadian Geese.
