Elizabeth’s friend Allie had her party at the city’s recreation center in a children’s area called the Clubhouse – we call it “Tubes” for the big maze of tubes that cover most of it.
It was so much fun to have the kids together in a safe area and allow them just to run and chase and climb and laugh together.
It gave some of us an opportunity to even sit and talk! Wow, I’m liking this age where I can let her go play on her own ;)
Brian was the one who got stuck being the adult playmate most of the night, not that he minded.
Afterwards a couple of us went out for dinner and ice cream at McD’s. First time I ever gave Elizabeth an ice cream cone (vs a cup). She loves to get messy (well, sometimes!).
The kids were so cute with their ice cream dripping off of their faces. Thanks for having us!!
