Fall Festivities

Olde Town Arvada has lots of celebrations all year long.  In October they do a “Scarecrow Festival” with businesses and residents alike putting out scarecrows to be judged.  We didn’t participate last year, but Steph said she’d make us one for this year.  (We won’t talk about who actually did what to get it done on time!  Ha!)  But here she was…YogiCrow stood in front our store with a big Welcome Sign as she stood in her Tree Pose.  We didn’t win any prizes, but we still liked her ;)

Then we met David and Beth and Bryce at Anderson Farms for a day of Fall fun.  The farm had photo ops scattered about…

Big pumpkin playgrounds and tractor tire towers…

Pony rides and petting zoos.  Here’s Elizabeth on the biggest pony in the ring.  She did so well!  Once she got her balance, she asked me to step away.  What a big girl!

Then we took a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch.

They also had all sorts of fun rides.  We did a Redneck Rollercoaster (a wagon ride over lots of bumps, turns, and 360’s) and a Barrel Car Rodeo (cut-out barrels connected in a train doing tight loops through the yard).

And Elizabeth loved being pulled around on her red Radio Flyer wagon with our pumpkins, pumpkin bread, and other yummies.

Then, a few days later, our fall-colored trees were cover in white (again).
