Elizabeth made a new friend this month. Tracy and I know each other from Yoga Teacher Training, and her son is now 14 months old. We haven’t seen each other much since Ian was born, so I was thrilled when she called me for a playdate at the playground.
We met at her house and walked to the playground. Eliz had her Stryder and biked most of the way. We went to Firefighter’s Park where there’s lots of fireman-type displays. Ian and Eliz liked ringing the bell.
It was such a nice time, and Eliz loved to tell Ian where to go and what to play on. Ha!
Elizabeth is our big helper. She really wants to do a lot lately to help around the house. Including helping Daddy cook
Got back into Golden finally. Haven’t been here in months. I do love this creekside trail…in all seasons.
Elizabeth wanted her bike. There’s more pictures and a video of her riding in the WebAlbums.
It cracks us up how this girl sleeps. See all those comic strips or cartoons about kids sleeping horizontally, on their parent’s heads, and so forth? Well, they are all true. Kids are dynamic sleepers. Somehow Eliz did a 180* in her sleep and we found her the next morning with her feet on her pillow and her blanket underneath her.
Did I tell you that Eliz is Daddy’s Girl? She reads the newspaper and loves money. What more can I say? All loose change in our house has to go into her Princess Piggy Bank.
See that big grin as she inspects and shows off her money? Yep, Daddy’s Girl.
We got her another large friend this month. When you buy too much at American Furniture Warehouse they give you stuffed animals for free. We qualified for two big ones this month (sad to say for our savings account). Here’s “Bamboo”. The other is a Bull Dog just as big and he’s named “Cinnamon”. Yes, she can say cinnamon, but not “Elizabeth” still.
Our neighbors built a cool snow cave after our Feb storm. Pretty cool, but it collapsed before we could go explore inside. Temperatures tend to get really warm right after a snowfall for some odd reason.
Elizabeth took several self-portraits this month of herself. This one captures the true color of her eyes…I think they are stunning.
More pictures and videos on the February WebAlbums.
