Centennial Cone – Andy’s Visit

I was in yoga teacher training this weekend, so it was Andy’s turn to be home alone.  He texted me this afternoon to tell me that it was his turn to go to Centennial Cone

His visit looked quite a bit different than mine considering we just had over 6” of snow fall on Friday and Saturday.  But it hit the 60’s again today, so quite a bit of it had melted…well, at least in town…

When I left class and read the text that Andy was on the mountain I figured he chose Centennial because he can’t stand the idea of me doing something without him :), but truly it was for convenience.  The map was still on the kitchen counter and he knew it was close by – a quick getaway.

I briefly toyed with the idea of driving up there to try and join him.  But I didn’t.  It’s not far, but it is 9 miles up a canyon road.  Lots of turns and lots of gawking makes for a slow drive for me still.
