It was an accidental finding. An approaching storm had us drop our awning, which meant moving our bird feeder to the ground. Since the day I hung the feeder, I’ve had a whopping ‘zero’ birds visit it. So we were surprised when it looked like something was eating the bird seed from the ground. It only took a short while to realize it was the resident rabbits. We dumped some seed into a pile, and now have had multiple rabbits feeding (yet they’ve ignored our lettuce in the past). Who knew bunnies like bird seed?
One morning we even woke up to find about 20 sparrows, too. Go figure. They prefer their seed on the concrete, and not in a feeder.
