We had wanted to walk over to the Himmarshee block party last night to enjoy the outdoor festivities and watch our ball drop at midnight, but both of us got sick with colds on our trip up north and couldn't seem to gather up the energy to go out. Instead we were woken up at midnight by the sounds of the fireworks. In actuality it wasn't a bad way to bring in the New Year - watching fireworks from the comfort of my bed!
