Who is this little girl?

Here are some hints:
* She's wearing sandles, so she's probably from a warm place...
* She's holding a stuffed alligator, so she's probably from the southeast...
* Her Shirley Temple-curls look highlighted from the sun, so perhaps somewhere beachy...

Now we'll just have to wait for her to come visit my blog and confirm her identity...then I'll tell you more about this little girl.

eeeeeekkkk!! I just about fell off my chair. I saw the heading of the recent post, 'who is this little girl?'. I thought that sounds interesting, wondering what it's about.

IT's ME.

What a trip. Yes, Mom told me she dug up lots of old photos and brought them to the dive club meeting. I asked if she had scanned them and she said no. Diane to the rescue! y'know, I have some photos of me holding live baby alligators too. They're in storage somewhere. We used to raise alligators in the canal behind our house in Ft. Lauderdale in the 50s.

It's about time you guys checked my blog! Ha!

You are right! It is a picture of you - Chris Guld - back when your mom and Uncle John worked at Florida Sea Life. Chris' grandparents owned this tourist attraction back in the 50's.

Chris' mom, Marilyn, used to be a guide and Uncle John used to collect specimens for the viewing tanks. It's no surprise this mother-daughter team are still into scuba diving and nature. Even Uncle John is still scuba diving with our Kayuba club. It was great to have Marilyn tell us about Florida Sea Life and the family history at a recent Kayuba meeting.

I couldn't resist the urge to snap a picture of this picture of Chris though! She's so cute!

You can visit Jim and Chris at www.jimandchris.com to see what she looks like now! Ha!
